The average age of the 14 - member Indian squad for
the forthcoming six-nation Asia Cup is 25.71.
Leg-spinner Anil Kumble, at 33 years and nine
months, is the senior-most member and wicketkeeper
Parthiv Patel, at 19 years and four months, is the
'baby' of the squad.
The average match experience of the team is
whopping 116 one-day internationals, with the
redoubtable Sachin Tendulkar being the most
experienced player with as many as 333 matches
behind him. Sachin, besides his rich match
exposure, has plundered 37 centuries and 66 fifties
in one-day internationals.
On the bowling front, Kumble is the highest
wicket-taker with 315 victims at a rate of 30.25
runs apiece.
